***209 Times EXCLUSIVE*** Truck Driver Arrested For Fatal Crash In Lodi, Reportedly In USA Illegally

LODI- Members of Congress are reporting that the Department of Homeland Security confirms that the semi truck driver, 25 year old Manvir Singh, who arrested for k*lling two people in a hit & run crash on freeway 99 in Lodi on Tuesday May 19, is an Indian national who is in the United States illegally.

Singh was reportedly apprehended at the Arizona border in 2023 and released by the Biden administration. Singh crashed into several vehicles on the 99 in Lodi, k*lling two people, and then ran away on foot rather than help any of the victims. He was subsequently caught and arrested and is now facing charges in San Joaquin County for vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and hit & run resulting in death.

ICE has reportedly also placed a detainer on him with local law enforcement. However, local police agencies are not allowed to obey that detainer because of California Law Senate Bill 54 which declared California a “sanctuary state” and bans all local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities or ICE.

It is unclear where Singh was a resident of and whether or not he was issued a California Drivers License by the State of California. 209 Times has obtained Singh’s current mugshot along with a photo reportedly from when he was apprehended in 2023. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of the victims who just happened to be driving on 99 in Lodi in front of Singh. The CHP did not report that Singh was in California and the USA illegally. Congressmen from other states are.
This is a developing story.
