SEATTLE- In one of the hardest hit areas of America, a 90 year old woman has survived COVID-19. According to 9news, Geneva Wood suffered a stroke days after Christmas and was placed in Life Care Center where she along with 129 people since, contracted the deadly virus just days from being released back home. As the care facility went on lockdown due to the outbreak, Geneva developed symptoms and was transported to Harborview Medical Center, where doctors from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention diagnosed Geneva with COVID-19.

Her family, fearing the worst after her lungs filled with fluid, visited to say their final goodbyes and its then that she began to recover. Despite having a persistent cough due to the permanent damage the coronavirus caused, Geneva has since made a full recovery and tested negative for the virus. She has now been released from the hospital to be back with her family.
