LODI- Per Lodi PD:
On 10/03/23 at approximately 3:52 AM, LPD responded to the 00 block of South School Street on a report of gunshots heard in the area. Officers arrived and located a 53 year old male victim with gunshot wounds. Police, Fire and Medical personnel provided life-saving measures on-scene, and the victim was transported to a local area hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
Throughout the investigation, LPD detectives developed information that led them to a residence in the 00 block of South School Street and two involved suspects. A search warrant was obtained and telephone contact and negotiation efforts were started. One of the involved suspects exited the residence. Eventually, LPD SWAT personnel made entry and took the second individual into custody.
During a search of the residence, detectives located narcotics, a firearm and additional evidence related to the homicide.
Arrested: Scott Sherman, a 39 year old male; and Jessica Aguirre, a 29 year old female. Both of which were booked for murder, weapon and drug charges.
