Tokay High Student Escapes Kidnap Attempt In Lodi

LODI- According to Lodi Police yesterday around 6:30AM a 14 year old girl walking to school was nearly kidnapped on Scarborough Drive and Brandywine Drive.

Lodi Police have released the following statement on the incident seeking the public’s help:

“The victim reported, as the two passed  each other on the sidewalk, the male suspect grabbed her and attempted to lift her off of the ground. The victim immediately pushed him away and screamed as she broke free. Tokay High School staff was made aware of the incident.

The suspect was described as an Indian male in his late 40’s to early 50’s with a dark mustache, about 5’10” or 5’11” tall with a medium build.  The suspect was wearing a dark green pull over hoodie with 2” or 3” yellow block lettering on the front.

The victim saw a possible suspect vehicle drive by her after she broke free, which she described as a light blue smaller hatchback, closely resembling a VW Golf style vehicle.

  1. And “Newsen” said we don’t have a sex trade problem… but this is Lodi…. not the border, it is still possible sex traders…. the teenager was lucky and did the right thing.
