Teacher Arrested For Giving Students Cannabis, Molestation
Per Merced Sheriff:
“On August 10, 2024, Buhach Colony High School administrators contacted our on-campus School Resource Deputy De Los Santos regarding allegations made about a teacher. Deputy De Los Santos immediately began an investigation into the allegations. Throughout the investigation, it was determined the teacher, identified as Julio Barcelo, was offering marijuana to minors and sending inappropriate photos to students. On Friday, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office arrested Julio Barcelo for PC 647.6, annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18, and H&S 11361 (b) furnishing cannabis to a minor.
