MODESTO- Yesterday a suspect was corned in Verde Mobile Home Park in Stockton, and then shot himself in the head according to authorities. Today Modesto Police announced that the suspect was 29 year old Anthony Dunn of Stockton who was determined by detectives as committing the homicide of 22 year old Miguel Facha of Ceres during a robbery earlier in the day.
According to police, “Dunn shot Facha as he was in his vehicle in the parking lot at 1601 Yosemite Boulevard at approximately 10:45 pm on Monday night. Dunn immediately left the scene. Through the investigation, detectives were able to identify Dunn as the suspect. Tuesday afternoon, Stockton PD located Dunn in the Stockton area, but he fled from them. Officers set up a perimeter and a short time later located Dunn within the perimeter. When Dunn was located, he had what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injury”.
