Modesto PD Saves Naked Man From River Who Ran Across Airport Runway

MODESTO- The Modesto PD want to remind people not to run across the airport runway then jump in the river naked. The water is cold and current is swift.

“This morning Officers were dispatched to the Modesto Airport for the report of a male running across the runway. The male took off his clothing, and jumped into the river while Officers were responding, so MFD water rescue was dispatched as well. Luckily MFD water rescue and MPD personnel arrived on scene within minutes, deployed into the water and located the male in the water. He was rescued, and is being treated at a local hospital for issues not related to the water exposure. We would like to remind all members of the community of the dangers of entering the rivers at this time due to the increased water levels and swift moving water currents.” – Modesto Police Department
