Toddler Found Alive in Home Woman Murdered In 

Police are investigating the homicide of a 36 year old woman at a home on Melody Court in Brookside. After being called for a welfare check at 6:30am this morning, police discovered the woman with multiple lacerations and she was pronounced unfortunately deceased. Upon arrival police also found her 2-year-old toddler alone, severely dehydrated and with a severe rash, but alive. It is unknown how long the child was left alone, or when the murder occurred. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Sources believe it is domestic violence related, but police have not yet released a motive or suspect information.
