Known Embezzler Now Suspended By Cal Asian Chamber of Commerce Pending Investigation

Xochitl Paderes, the former District Director for ousted State Assemblymember Carlos Villapudua, has been now suspended from her role working for the California Asian Chamber of Commerce.

The move comes just days after it was brought to their attention that Paderes is currently under investigation for several allegations including felony embezzlement.

We reached out to the CalAsian Chamber last week after it was discovered Paderes was working as their “Certifications and Government Contracting Specialist” for their Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) of the U.S Department of Commerce in Sacramento.

We did not receive at statement prior to our first article. Today CalAsian sent us the following statement:

“CalAsian has told Ms. Paderes that it plans to suspend her contracts while it conducts a global review of the independent contractor agreement and services provided.

During this time, CalAsian will also conduct fact-finding about allegations brought to the attention of CalAsian.

At this time, CalAsian has no position or statement on these allegations.”

Her nephew went on a rant today stating Motecuzoma Sanchez made his tia cry and was going to file a “federal defamation lawsuit”, however in a recent tentative ruling for a defamation suit Paderes brought against Sanchez for reporting on these facts, a judge ruled that her own evidence, a sworn statement by Brando Villapudua, corroborated the same embezzlement she claimed was “knowing false and defamatory.”

The evidence against her was submitted by her own lawyer Kevin Berreth, the former partner of Mark Bowman whom already Sanchez beat in court despite not being a lawyer. We’ve attached a letter from Berreth to the City of Lathrop stating that Paderes would now comply with the Cease and Desist orders to stop operating a City of Lathrop Chamber of Commerce, which her same lawsuit states was defamatory for reporting on.

A recent online search of the MBDA website shows Xochitl Paderes has been removed from the “Meet Our Team” page.
