FRENCH CAMP- Yesterday the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a 21 year old male for having a sexual relationship with a 12 year old girl.
The investigation began a day earlier on April 23rd when they received a call about a missing 12-year-old girl. She was last seen by a witness who saw her getting in a vehicle with an adult male at French Camp Elementary. The witness who works at the school recognized the girl as a past student alerted the mother.
“A thorough investigation done by patrol deputies and detectives from the Child Abuse Sexual Assault Unit located the child safe and unharmed. However, the investigation also discovered an unlawful relationship between the child and the adult male.
Hector Abel Martin-Matias, 21 years of age, was arrested and booked into the San Joaquin County jail for the following charges: lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 years of age, continuous sexual abuse of a child and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor”, the Sheriff provided in a statement.
