STOCKTON- COMMUNITY ALERT Man Previously Arrested For Homicide, Running For Stockton City Council

For this Friday the 13th we will highlight another clown in the circus that has become Stockton politics.

Shelly Hollis is running for City Council again. The move comes just months after making public threats to Mayor Fugazi and members of the city council during a public meeting as he accompanied a man, Steve Sievers, who had been asked to leave for being disruptive. The threats were witnessed by multiple members of the audience. After that meeting the City installed new metal detectors directly outside dog the chambers.

One of the city council members he appeared to direct his perceived threats toward was Michele Padilla whom he is now running against. Speaking to members of the city council and audience whom wish to remain unnamed for fear of physical retaliation, told us part of their concerns with Hollis is his history of violence.

In January of 2011, Shelly Hollis was arrested for homicide after reportedly beating an unarmed man to death with a baseball bat. In a personal statement to us, when he interviewed our CEO Motecuzoma Sanchez as a fan and was trying to get on with 209 Times, he revealed that the man he killed was involved with a girl he was also involved with. An online argument allegedly turned into threats and Hollis, according to his own statements, baited the man to show up at the apartments he was at. When he did he attacked him with the bat. The man died days later in the hospital, earning Hollis the pejorative nicknames “Little Accident Murderer” and “Bat Killer.”

Despite this, Hollis who was previously involved with the NAACP, somehow had the charges dropped by former district attorney James Willet.

Because he was never convicted of the crime he was arrested for, he is eligible to run for office.
