Double Shooting at CrossFit Stockton, Connected to So Cal Homicide

According to our sources in Stockton and Southern California the attempted murder/suicide at CrossFit Stockton is connected to the homicide of the shooter’s wife this morning in Garden Grove. Sources report that the shooter was a former CHP officer from Lodi, which we are working to confirm. The victim who was shot at CrossFit is the ex husband of the owner, who was reportedly involved with the wife of the shooter who killed his wife in the home where their children were then drove to Stockton to shoot him then himself.

According to our southern division the So Cal Times the shooter and female victim have been identified:

LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: 11500 block of Morgan Lane, Garden Grove
DATE/TIME OF OCCURRENCE: 7/17/2025 @ 8:05 A.M.
PARTIES INVOLVED:
Victim: Crystal Gonzalez, 37 years old, resident of Lodi
Suspect: Miguel Lopez, 35 years old, resident of Lodi

NARRATIVE:

On Thursday, July 17th, 2025, Garden Grove Police Officers were dispatched to Morgan Lane regarding a check the welfare call. The calling party stated they received a phone call from a family member who was staying at the Morgan residence in Garden Grove, stating police and an ambulance were needed at the residence. As officers arrived on scene, a second call was received from a female juvenile who was inside the residence stating her mom needed help.

Officers made entry into the residence and located a deceased female, later identified as GONZALEZ. One additional juvenile was located in the residence and both juveniles were unharmed and unaware of what took place. 

Investigators responded and learned the suspect, LOPEZ, was missing from the residence. Additionally, there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. LOPEZ was determined to be the father of the juveniles and the husband to the victim. Investigators began searching for the whereabouts of LOPEZ when family members notified GGPD that LOPEZ’ vehicle was in Stockton and police from Stockton were on scene. 

GGPD Investigators contacted Stockton PD Investigators and learned LOPEZ was involved in a shooting in their jurisdiction this morning. 

GGPD Investigators confirmed LOPEZ was seen leaving the residence in Garden Grove very early this morning.

To protect the integrity of the investigation, no additional information will be released at this time. We are working to get the juveniles connected back with family members. 

Any information relating to the Stockton shooting will have to be released by Stockton PD or their delegate.”
