Employee Owned Company’s 27 Year Tradition Brings 3.2 Tons of Turkeys to Needy Families

STOCKTON – PAQ, Inc.doing bus as Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel Markets participated in their 27thTurkey Brigade benefiting the Stockton Emergency Food Bank.  This year’s Turkey Brigade will took place on Friday, December 16th starting at 9 A.M. at 789 W. Hammer Lane in the Food 4 Less parking lot. 

The Stockton Police Officers Association and the Stockton Fire Dept. personnel helped load 600 turkeys totaling 7,200 pounds (3.2 tons) onto Fire trucks and Police vehicles and then traveled down Pacific Avenue on their way to the Emergency Food Bank. 

PAQ, Inc. Vice President and General Manager Chris Podesto said, “PAQ, Inc. is proud to partner with the Stockton Police Officers Association and Stockton Fire Dept. Local 456 for the27th Turkey Brigade benefiting the Stockton Emergency Food Bank. Since 1995, collectively we have donated over 175,000 turkeys. Too many of our Stockton neighbors can’t afford to provide their families with a holiday meal. These turkeys will be making the holidays a real blessing for many families in our community.”

Emergency Food Bank’s December Turkey Giveaway is scheduled for Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 and will take place at the SJ County Fairgrounds. Food Bank officials anticipate between 1,200-1,500 families will benefit from this year’sgiveaway. Each family receives a complete turkey and meal box.
