Mass Shooting in Stockton, 6 Reportedly Shot on Busy Street

Officers are investigating the broad daylight shooting in Stockton near Edison High School. The shooting took place on Charter Way (M.L.K. Jr Blvd) near Lincoln Street. According to sources, six people were shot and self transported to the hospital. Broken glass can be seen at Frontline Barbershop with more than 50 bullet casings in the street in front of the business.

The Stockton Police Department has the following lanes closed:

Westbound Charter Way from Turnpike to I-5
Eastbound Charter Way from I-5 to Lincoln

Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.

The conditions and identities of the victims remains unknown at this time as well as a possible motive. This is a developing story.
