In a rare interview, legendary MMA fighter from Stockton, Nick Diaz, speaks at length with ESPN’s Ariél Hawani about his possible return to the UFC once his 5 year suspension is lifted in 2020. When asked about a possible matchup against Jorge Masvidal, who won by TKO against Nick’s younger brother Nate after a controversial stoppage by a doctor due to a cut on Nate’s eye, Nick took issue with Masvidal’s rhetoric, “You want to talk about baptizing my younger brother? That’s on you. I never had nothing disrespectful to say. But you don’t talk about baptizing my younger brother. So you’re already in a fucked up position if you fight with me. You don’t talk about fucking baptizing someone’s brother. That’s my baby brother. You don’t talk like that to nobody”.

According to Nick the UFC already has him on a poster versus Masvidal for UFC 235 despite him never signing a contract as of yet. “I’m on the poster with this guy I’m like, ‘What the fuck? Nobody talked to me. What are you talking about?’” Diaz said.

On Twitter images are already circulating of possible next opponents for Masvidal with Nick and brother Nate, who has publicly stated wanted a rematch, then announced he’s walking away from the fight game last week on social media after UFC CEO Dana White publicly spoke out against it.

If Nick Diaz does fight Jorge Masvidal is his return to the UFC it will surely be another major event in his already legendary career.
