Woman Killed in Stockton Drive By Identified as Obdulia Sanchez, Convicted For Killing Her Sister During a Crash That She Live-Streamed

Friends of Obdulia “Lulu” Sanchez have identified her as the woman who was shot and killed last night 12/2 on Gertrude and Horner Avenues in east Stockton.

She was the same woman who was convicted of manslaughter after she livestreamed the aftermath of the car crash that killed her 14-year-old sister and injured another teen while drive under the influence in Los Banos in 2017.

In February of 2018, a judge sentenced Obdulia to more than six years in prison, but she was released early on parole on September 21,at of the same year thanks to soft on crime laws of California.

She was arrested again a year after that in 2019 at age 20, just a year after being released early from her 6 year sentence after she led Stockton Police on a high speed chase, which began on Rosemarie Lane.

She blew through two stop signs and a red light in a Buick LaCrosse before crashing off the road while heading up an on-ramp to Interstate 5 at March Lane.

Joseph Silva said at the time, “A male passenger exited her vehicle and ran up onto Interstate 5, and he made good his escape, but our officers were able to get to the vehicle and arrest Ms. Sanchez, who was the driver. That is alarming to us because any time you have someone who is evading police, and when we arrest that person and locate a loaded firearm inside the vehicle, we don’t know what their intentions were.”

Obdulia was driving on a revoked license, and her registration tags were expired with a loaded gun in the car.

Police have not yet confirmed her identity or released any suspect information or motive.
