Engineer & Local Businessman Announces Candidacy For Tracy City Council

Amrik Wander is running for Tracy City Council and will be on the November 2022 ballot. He’s been a Tracy resident for last decade and is dedicated to improving the city where he and his wife are raising their two children, age 7 and 3.  
Wander recently served as Civil Service Commissioner for San Joaquin County from 2019 to 2022. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and currently works as Application System Engineer. In addition, he also owns a small local business.

His priorities include improving public safety, addressing infrastructure needs, increasing access to more health care facilities such as a state-of-the-art Emergency and Healthcare Center, reducing traffic congestion, advancing economic development in the city, and tackling the homeless crisis.

He will be on the ballot in November and plans to have outreach through meet and greet events with the community of Tracy, introducing himself as well as hearing from residents.
