Police Arrest an 11 Year Old For Making Violent Threats Against School in Tracy

“The Tracy Police Department is aware of several text messages regarding threats of violence at Williams Middle School that began circulating among various students on September 24, 2024. Officers from the Patrol Division immediately began investigating the matter, leading officers to identify an 11-year-old from Tracy as being responsible for making the threats.
The student was taken into police custody. Due to the juvenile’s age, they were not booked into Juvenile Hall, however, charges for PC 422 – Criminal Threats were forwarded to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office.
As a reminder, these threats are against the law, and anyone making any threats will be disciplined and prosecuted to the highest extent of the law.
