President Biden Says He’s “Proud to be the First Black Woman to Serve With a Black President”

President Joe Biden appeared on Philadelphia radio station WURD Radio for an interview with Andrea Lawful-Sanders, host of The Source. The purpose was to address concerns about his performance in the June 27 debate, which has Democrat Party members openly asking whether he is fit to be the Democratic nominee versus former President and convicted felon Donald Trump, who encouraged followers to overthrow the government after he lost last election.

The interview was recorded on July 3 and aired the following morning on the fourth of July. It was Biden’s first media appearance since the disastrous debate performance, with raise the concern if he’s even still fit for office now.

“I had a bad debate,” Biden said. “But 90 minutes on stage does not erase what I have done in three-and-a-half years.”

Shortly after that he stated, ““By the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, first Black woman, to serve with a Black president.”

Biden is 81 years old, which makes him the oldest major-party presidential nominee in history. Trump is 78 and would be Biden’s age now at the end of a second term should he win.
