Police Investigate 14 Year Old Shot, Killed in Weston Ranch
Per Stockton PD:
“Homicide Investigation
On September 21, 2024, at approximately 5:57 a.m., a 14-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound arrived at an area hospital. Officers arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. Officers determined that a shooting occurred in the area of Carolyn Weston Blvd & Manthey Rd. where the juvenile victim was shot. The victim, unfortunately, later succumbed to his injuries as a result of the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.”
Jason Lee, who is running to represent Weston Ranch on the City Council this November’s election released a public statement decrying the violence, stating:
“This type of news is NEVER ok. Sadly another young teen murdered in my neighborhood. Id like to send my heartfelt condolences to the family, fellow students, and community grieving the loss of another child.
I find it almost criminal that the city has allowed the need for police substations to be ignored for years.
This community has deserved better for decades yet it feels like no matter what happens it’s treated like just another day. I give my word in 43 days when the people elect me to lead this district we will absolutely turn the page on crime.”
