CALIFORNIA- A record number of Americans filed for unemployment insurance benefits last week, doubling the sensational record of the week prior. The Department of Labor has released its latest numbers showing that 6,648,000 million claims were filed last week, in addition to the 3,029,000 filed the week before as measures are taken across the nation to battle the spread of the deadly COVID-19 coronavirus from Wuhan, China.
