SACRAMENTO- Saturday April 11th, a man was shot by Sacramento Police officers in a gun battle at a busy shopping mall at the corner of Consumnes River Boulevard and Bruceville Road near Stockton Boulevard. According to police the man was wanted in connection with an attempted murder and when an attempt was made to pull him over he began firing shots. The video shows the man injured on the ground of the mall parking lot and then return fire. The man was shot and transported to the hospital were he was listed in serious condition. Sacramento has begun its standard protocol regarding investigations of officer involved shootings.
The website World Star posted the video and incorrectly listed the shooting as happening in Stockton, which was a mistake. The shopping center is located near Stockton Boulevard which is in south Sacramento. The video was captured by Queenie Taylor.
