Oakland Zoo Confirms All Tigers Accounted For After Scare

OAKLAND- Commuters from the 209 returning to work in the Bay Area can rest assured of one less threat today. No tigers are roaming the streets.

Yesterday the Alameda Sheriff notified the public that there was a report of a tiger on the loose. Social media was also abuzz with rumors that people let animals free from the zoo amidst nationwide protests against police.

Thankfully the Oakland Zoo put those rumors to rest and confirmed that all animals including the tigers were secure in the zoo.

Not before the original announcement set off a frenzy of comedic tweets in response:
