Lincoln Student Escapes After Being Kidnaped at Gunpoint

STOCKTON- Lincoln Unified issues the following safety advisory today:

Friday afternoon, while a student was walking home on Alexandria Place, a silver compact car pulled up beside the student.  The car was driven by a white male with gray hair, wearing a white collared shirt, jeans and dark sunglasses.  He told the student to get inside the car and flashed a handgun.   The student complied.  At a stop light near Swain and Pershing Avenue the student escaped the car.  The student went home and reported the incident.  We are continuing to work closely with the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department on this incident.

Please encourage your student to walk in groups whenever possible and remain alert to their surroundings.  Report any anything unusual to the police or a trusted adult immediately.  The safety of our students, families and staff is our primary concern.  We will always work to bring you information about critical events that may affect the safety of our community.  If you have any information about this incident, please contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department at 209-468-4400”.
