STOCKTON- A person has been shot in the parking lot of Walmart near the gas station/McDonalds on Hammer Lane around 6:30pm. The person was unresponsive to first responders who were treated a gunshot wound to the chest and performing CPR.
Police are actively searching for the suspect who may have fled in another vehicle. The shooting comes amidst a violent December and violent year in the city where homicides are up 63% this year compared to the previous year. Story is still developing.
