Stockton PD Releases Video Of Officers Shooting Man Who Called 9-1-1 On Himself To Apparently Force Confrontation With BB Gun

STOCKTON- Today the police department released its first ever public communication video including a summary of events, audio from the 9-1-1 call, and footage of the officer’s body camera of the shooting. As we reported on March 31st, a man called 9-1-1 saying he saw a man dressed in camouflage shoot a homeless person. When officers arrived to the scene it turned out the caller was apparently also himself the suspect armed with a BB gun. According to the SPD public statement the suspect raised the rifle towards the officers who then shot him. He survived and was booked into jail after being released from the hospital.
