Governor Newsom Declares State of Emergency Due to Worst Flooding in 20 Years

SACRAMENTO- Governor Newsom has declared an emergency for Amador, Glenn, Lake, Mendocino and Sonoma Counties. This move will direct state officials to request federal assistance to help in recovering from the damage done to property and infrastructure. One man has been reported to have been killed as a result in one county while another county is recording the flooding there as the worst they’ve experienced in the last 20 years.
