LINDEN- The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed reports we received, along with this photo, that an African American male was found dead in a Linden field off of Highway 26 between Jack Tone and Duncan yesterday morning with an undisclosed object attached to his neck and a tree. His feet were on the ground in this photo. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s office has deemed it a suicide releasing the following statement:

“Let’s look out for each other!

Yesterday, tragically, our office responded to two separate incidents of suicide by hanging. One occurred in the city of Linden, and the other in Stockton. Both victims were adult males.

These are very trying times that we are going through, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the decedent’s families.

We never truly know what difficulties people are dealing with. If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts, please reach out to someone.

  1. This is BS. White ppl pay dearly. God will give us justice. Police are so quick to say suicide do quick because they themselves are in the White organization.

  2. Saw him hanging there with my own eyes. There were no vehicles besides the sheriff cars/SUVs at the scene. The location is nearly 5-6 miles out of Stockton. There aren’t many, if any, black people that live in Linden. Seems like a far way to walk just to hang yourself. And as for the sheriff’s statement, I’ve been told by locals that was actually written on a piece of paper, but there have been a lot of stories being told at this time about what could have actually happened. Just saying.

  3. A lynching huh? Tar and feather the politicians, bring back public hangings, things would be better and everyone would be scared straight.
