The NWS hasn’t issued an alert for possible hottest weather conditions this upcoming weekend for the Central Valley.

Event: Special Weather Statement

Alert:

…Hottest temperatures so far this season possible over the

weekend…

Strong high pressure centered over the Desert Southwest is

forecast to build northwestward this weekend bringing potentially

the hottest weather so far this summer to inland areas of

northern California.

High temperatures this weekend are forecast to range from 100 to

110 degrees across the Central Valley and surrounding foothills.

Overnight lows are forecast to be mild, particularly on Saturday

night, ranging from the upper 60s to upper 70s with little or no

relief from the Delta Breeze.

The heat is forecast to moderate early next week as high pressure

retreats allowing a return of the Delta Breeze.

Anyone with outdoor activities this weekend should be aware of

the potential for hotter weather and plan accordingly.
