Medford, Oregon- On May 10th at 5:13 a.m., Medford police officers responded to a call from the mother that her 15 year old girl from Modesto, California was being pimped our of a local motel. The child had been reported missing from her Modesto home since April 29th.
Officers made their way into the motel room and found the missing girl as well as another 18 year old female and two other adults, identified as Lucious James Roy, 32, and Dawniel Santangelo, 41, both from Stockton.
Detectives say Roy and Santangelo acted together in transported the missing Modesto girl from California to Oregon, provided her with marijuana, and coercing her into prostitution.
According to Medford police the girl is now back with her family in Modesto and the suspects were arrested for:
-Trafficking in Persons
-Compelling Prostitution
-Deliver of Marijuana to Minor
“Roy’s bail is set at $300,000 and Santangelo’s bail is $250,000.
Community Works assisted us with reuniting the 18 year old girl with her family in California”.
