STOCKTON- This morning at 6:40am a red car hit a van in the intersection. The car was damaged so badly it was immobilized with the horn stuck going off. As citizens began providing assistance to the elderly woman who was driving the van as well as checking on the driver of the red car, that driver packed a bag of his belongings in the car and took off walking away. The woman, distraught, can be seen crying in the background as the driver flees on foot.
According to Stockton Police Department spokesman Joseph Silva, there is an average of ten hit n runs in the city every day.
