STOCKTON- Early this morning a man driving to the hospital flagged down a police officer and notified him that his passenger was about to deliver a baby. The officer directed the soon to be father into the parking lot of the police station and called a Code 3 for an ambulance. While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, the woman’s water broke and she began to deliver. Not having enough time to go to the hospital, two other officers who had medical experience assisted with the delivery and baby Semaj was born in front of the Stockton police station at 7:50am. The police department reports that the mother, child, and father are doing fine.
