Sheriff Investigates Mass Shooting At Vigil In Stockton

STOCKTON- San Joaquin County Sheriff Pat Withrow’s office is investigating the mass shooting of 5 people on 3/17/2021 that occurred on Oro and Main St around 5:30pm. The Sheriff has released the following statement:

“Yesterday, shortly after 530 pm, our Dispatch Center received several calls reporting a drive-by shooting at the intersection of Oro Avenue and E. Main Street in Stockton, where a group of people was gathered and preparing for a vigil.

A total of 5 people were shot, and all were uncooperative with the deputies on the scene. All were treated and released from the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of now, we have no suspect information. One of the vehicles involved was described as a light-colored Honda.

There is no other information available at this time and this investigation is ongoing.
