Stockton Sees 2nd Homicide in 3 Days

STOCKTON- Last night after 1:30am a man was shot and killed near Captains Anchor bar in north Stockton. Police have released the following statement seeking the public’s help:

“This morning, at 1:41 am, Stockton police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 9300 block of Thornton Road. When officers arrived, they located an adult male who had been shot. Officers and medics performed life-saving measures but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Detectives have responded for the investigation.

The Stockton Police Department is encouraging people to call if they have information pertaining to this investigation. Callers are asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377, the Investigation Unit at (209) 937-8323, or Crime Stoppers at (209) 946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous.
