Thieves Wearing PPE Masks Snatch $150,000 In Jewelry From Costco

TRACY- Police released a statement on May 11th that on May 7th two suspects Of unknown ethnic backgrounds wearing filter masks commonly being worn amidst the Coronavirus pandemic and sunglasses entered the Cosctco shortly before closing around 8:30pm.

As one suspect smashed the jewelry counter with a sledgehammer the other exited to ready the car. $150,000 worth of jewelry was grabbed and employees chased the thief outside where the other thief has the car waiting and brandished a pistol. Both thieves were able to get away.

Why the police waited a week to make the announcement was not explained.
