According to authorities around 4am this morning a Madera County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call about a baby in the the road near the 35000 block of Avenue 13 ½ in Madera.
The California Highway Patrol also showed up to the scene responding to a similar 9-1-1 call. Despite the cold temperatures the baby girl was still alive and taken to Valley Children’s Hospital nearby. The infant was determined to be only hours old.
The only description of a suspect at this time is of a young Mexican female adult who left the scene in a small white SUV. No further description of the make or model has been provided.
